THE CONSULTING COMFORT BLANKET

The Boston Consulting Group released another report masquerading as foresight. They claim artificial intelligence will reshape more jobs than it replaces. This language is nothing but a sedative designed to keep the wage class compliant while their skills become worthless.

The process is not reshaping. It is pure optimization for capital. Corporations only care about the lowest marginal cost for intellectual labor. AI tools are simply the most efficient method for achieving that brutal goal.

The thin veneer of transformation hides raw economic predation. The narrative suggests that humans will magically adapt to these new computational demands. This delusion willfully ignores the extreme capital concentration already underway. The wealth generated by these systems will flow inexorably upward into fewer and fewer hands.

The mechanics of this decay are brutally clear. Job loss is replaced by sterile euphemisms. “Reskilling” has become mandatory servitude. The actual value of institutional knowledge is plummeting against raw compute power.

The architects of this new economic order do not require a workforce. They require inputs. And the worker is merely an unreliable and costly input. We are not adapting to change. We are simply being processed.
