THE ROT IS THE POINT

The media calls it corruption. They use words like scandal or crisis to make it sound like an accident. It is not an accident. The system is designed to be a marketplace for influence.

Political leaders are not failing their duties. They are fulfilling them. Their duty is to the donors. The public is just the audience for the transaction.

The mechanics of the decay are obvious.

• The auctioning of legislative votes.
• The hollowed out shells of regulatory agencies.
• The ritualistic theater of campaigns.
• The slow death of truth in favor of convenience.

Every election is just a change in management. The owners remain the same. They continue to strip the assets. We are just watching the liquidation.
