THE ALGORITHM DEMANDS BLOOD

Meta announced it is laying off approximately 10 percent of its workforce. Corporate drivel calls this a necessary measure for its supposed push into artificial intelligence. The reality is none of this changes. They are simply shedding expensive human overhead before the next round of investment cash evaporates.

THE COST OF “EFFICIENCY”

The narrative they push is one of necessary optimization. They claim this brutal cut is required to fund advanced artificial intelligence projects. This is standard procedure for late-stage capitalism. The profit motive always demands the constant shrinkage of the labor pool.

The process strips away entire human departments until only the core centers of capital remain. The casualties are salaried workers whose roles were deemed redundant by a spreadsheet. The only things that survive this cull are the intellectual property and the market share.

DEPRESSING FEATURES OF THE NEW MODEL

The supposed AI revolution brings only these certainties. Human labor is treated as nothing more than a depreciating asset. “Restructuring” is just the polite word for mass unemployment. The goal is never service improvement. It is always margin maximization.

Nothing changes except the number of people who are left to watch the decay happen.
