The industry calls it economic growth. In reality, it is the extraction of human intelligence into a black box. We are feeding our expertise into machines so they can function without us.

The new roles they promise are just more ways to serve the algorithm. They are low-tier tasks designed to maintain the machine.

The features of this decay are obvious.

• The conversion of human creativity into training data.
• The reduction of professional intellect to mere prompt engineering.
• The concentration of wealth among those who own the compute.
• The permanent degradation of the value of human labor.

There is no way out. The machine is being built using the very tools we used to define our worth. We are just being processed.
